inducted into the golden years

woke up this morning and had to look something up in the calender. this was smaller than the regular types and i couldn't make out the small print. i unconsciously lowered my glasses halfway down the bridge of my nose and the words miraculously opened up their meaning to me. seconds later it hit home. i have noticed older people doing the exact same maneuver in order to improve their reading abilities. help! i have officially joined the aged!
